A bizarre incident has left a Tesla owner stranded and frustrated after her car suddenly died while plugged into a public charging station at a Pennsylvania convenience store.

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, was attempting to charge her Tesla at the Wawa store in King of Prussia, PA. She had around 110 miles of charge already in her tank, but after plugging in for what she thought would be just a quick top-off, her car suddenly shut down.

According to reports, there was no warning or indication that anything was amiss - the car simply died while still plugged into the charging station. The woman was left stuck inside her vehicle, unable to get out as the doors were locked and the windows wouldn't budge.

"There was no air circulating," she explained in an interview. "I couldn't open the doors or windows. I had to wait for someone to let me out."

After being rescued by a passerby, the woman took her car to a nearby service center where technicians were unable to diagnose any issues with the vehicle's electrical system.
