US ski resort takes drastic measures in fight to open slopes: 'I've never seen this'

A ski resort in Colorado is getting creative in its efforts to stay afloat despite ongoing snow droughts, and it's left industry insiders stunned.

The resort, which has been around for over 40 years, has had to cancel its opening day not once but twice this season due to lack of snow. But instead of throwing in the towel, management has come up with an unorthodox plan: importing artificial snow.

This isn't your average DIY solution – we're talking massive machines capable of producing tens of thousands of tons of man-made powder every week. "I've never seen anything like it," said a local ski resort owner who wished to remain anonymous, but not before praising the innovation. "It's a bold move, and I think they might just make it work."

But will this drastic measure pay off? Only time will tell. In the meantime, we'll be keeping an eye on this developing story.
