Trump Tariffs Live Updates: Democrats Say Americans Are Feeling the Pinch

The ongoing trade war between the US and China has been a hot topic of discussion for months now, with both sides taking turns imposing tariffs on each other's goods. And while President Trump remains firm in his stance, Democrats are crying foul, claiming that American households are feeling the financial pinch.

• According to a recent report, Democrats say that the tariffs have cost each American household an extra $1,200 on average.

This estimate is based on a comprehensive analysis of data from various sources, including the Commerce Department and economic research firms. While some experts argue that these numbers are exaggerated, many others agree that the trade war is indeed having a significant impact on consumer goods prices.

Meanwhile, President Trump has hinted at making some additional carveouts for certain industries or products, but details remain scarce. As the situation continues to unfold, it's clear that consumers will be bearing the brunt of these tariffs until a resolution is reached.
