Trump, 79, Sends Jaw-Dropping Message to Families of Fallen U.S. Fighters

In a rare moment of public display of emotion, former President Donald Trump has released a statement addressing the families of fallen American fighters.

The statement, which was shared on social media, comes as the nation reflects on the sacrifices made by its military personnel and their loved ones. In it, Mr. Trump offers condolences to those who have lost someone in service, and sends a powerful message about the importance of honoring their memory.

• Mr. Trump acknowledges the pain and grief that comes with losing a loved one in service, saying "my heart goes out" to those affected.
• The former President also highlights the bravery and selflessness of those who have given their lives for their country, calling them "heroes" and "the best of us."
• In a nod to his signature style, Mr. Trump concludes by saying that these fallen heroes will always be remembered as "champions" in American history.

While the statement has sparked both praise and criticism from various quarters, one thing is clear: it's a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our nation's military personnel and their families.
