The Truth About Trump's Miserable Mar-a-Lago Christmas: Wolff

It's that time of year again - the holiday season is upon us, and everyone's getting into the festive spirit. But not, it seems, Donald Trump. According to a new tell-all book by former White House staffer Michael Wolff, Christmas at Mar-a-Lago was a dismal affair for the former President.

Wolff, whose book "The Final Days of Donald Trump" dropped earlier this month, paints a picture of a festive season marred by infighting and dysfunction. In an excerpt from the book published recently, Wolff describes how Trump's Christmas party at Mar-a-Lago was marked by awkward silences and forced merriment.

"It was like a scene from a bad movie," Wolff writes. "Everyone was pretending to have fun, but it was clear that no one knew what they were doing."

So, how did Trump's team plan for the holiday season?

• Not with any festive flair, apparently! Wolff claims that Trump's advisors had little idea how to plan a Christmas party for their boss, and ended up relying on a handful of hastily-assembled decorations.
• No one was having fun, according to Wolff. The author describes the party as "a bleak, joyless affair" marked by awkward silences and forced laughter.
• And don't even get started on the gifts! Wolff claims that Trump's team had trouble figuring out what to give their boss for Christmas, with some advisors reportedly settling on a pair of socks.

It's safe to say that it wasn't exactly the most merry Christmas party in history.
