Substantial' Snowfall Could Hit Philadelphia Area This Weekend: NWS
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory for the Philadelphia area, warning of substantial snowfall expected to hit the region this weekend.
According to forecasters, 4-8 inches of snow could fall in some areas by Sunday night, with higher totals possible. The NWS notes that this will be a "quick-hitting" snow event, but one that still has the potential to cause significant disruptions.
"This is going to be a fast-moving system," said an NWS spokesperson. "But we're expecting some pretty significant snowfall in a short amount of time."
