Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary Gives Job Seekers a Scathing Reality Check

If you're on the job market and hoping to make a good impression, beware: Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary is not impressed with your internet connection. In a recent interview, O'Leary warned that if he sees a candidate's resume come in with slow or spotty WiFi, it's going straight into the trash.

So, what's behind this tough love approach? O'Leary believes that having reliable and fast internet is no longer just a nicety – it's an essential skill for any job seeker. "If you can't even get your WiFi right, how do I know you're going to be able to deliver on the things I need you to do in this role?" he asked.

We've all been there: trying to meet a deadline, only to have our internet connection drop at the worst possible moment. But for job seekers, O'Leary says it's not just about convenience – it's about demonstrating your ability to get things done efficiently and effectively.

What Does This Mean for Job Seekers?

For those looking to impress potential employers, here are a few takeaways from O'Leary's warning:

• Invest in a reliable WiFi connection at home or in the office – it's not just about having internet access, but also about showing that you can prioritize your work.
• Make sure your devices and equipment are up-to-date and functioning properly. A slow computer or outdated smartphone may give the impression that you're not tech-savvy or willing to invest in yourself.
• Be prepared to talk about your internet connection – and how you plan to use it to get things done efficiently – during an interview. This shows that you're thinking ahead and can anticipate potential challenges.
