Resident Says She Can't Open Windows Anymore Because of 'Rotten' Smell from Living Near Elon Musk's Giant Data Center

A resident near a massive data center owned by Elon Musk's company claims that the facility is emitting a putrid smell, making it difficult for her to keep her windows open. The alleged odor has left some neighbors worried about their health and property values.

The data center, which covers over 1 million square feet, has been in operation since last year and serves as one of the largest server farms in the country. While Musk's ambitions for sustainable energy have garnered attention worldwide, concerns about air quality near his facilities are starting to surface.

• According to reports, local residents have complained about the smell being similar to burning plastic or rotten eggs.
• The data center uses state-of-the-art cooling systems, but some speculate that these may be contributing to the odor.

Musk's company has not commented on the matter directly. However, a representative for the facility stated that they are taking steps to address concerns and ensure the air quality meets local regulations.
