Puppy-Killer Noem MIA From Trump Aide’s Anti-Animal Cruelty Event

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, who's been embroiled in controversy over her response to animal cruelty allegations, skipped out on an anti-cruelty event hosted by a top aide to former President Donald Trump.

The event, which aimed to raise awareness about the importance of treating animals with kindness and respect, featured several high-profile speakers, including presidential advisor Katrina Pierson. But Noem's absence was noticed - or rather, not noticed - since she didn't RSVP in time.

• Noem has faced criticism for her handling of animal welfare cases in South Dakota, including a recent incident involving a puppy that died under mysterious circumstances at the state's Department of Social Services facility.
• Her absence from Pierson's event has sparked further debate about Noem's commitment to anti-cruelty efforts and her willingness to engage with communities affected by animal abuse.

Noem's office has yet to comment on why she didn't attend the event, but sources close to the governor say she was "unaware of the invitation" until it was too late. We're not buying that excuse - after all, when you're a public figure like Noem, your schedule is scrutinized closely.
