Lessons from the Past: President George W. Bush's Surprising Source of Advice
As we navigate our own challenges, it's refreshing to hear about leaders who have successfully sought guidance from those with different perspectives. In a recent interview, former President George W. Bush shared an intriguing tidbit about his relationship with former President Bill Clinton.
Bush revealed that he regularly called Clinton for advice, and the message was always the same: "get out of your own way." It's a sage piece of wisdom that transcends politics and can be applied to our daily lives.
So what did Bush mean by this? In essence, it means being open-minded, willing to listen, and not letting ego or pride get in the way. As Clinton himself might say (if he were here to weigh in), sometimes we just need a different perspective to help us see things more clearly.
