Pinched by Higher Prices, Many Trump Voters Say: Don't Blame the President

The rising cost of living has left many American households feeling pinched, and some who voted for Donald Trump are speaking out against blaming the president for their economic woes.

According to a recent survey, nearly 60% of Trump supporters say they're struggling to make ends meet due to increasing prices on essentials like food, housing, and healthcare. But instead of placing blame at the feet of the White House, these voters are pointing fingers elsewhere – specifically at big business and Wall Street.

"We know that the president can't control everything," said Jane Smith, a Trump supporter from Ohio. "It's the corporations and banks that are really to blame for our economic struggles."

Who do they blame?

• Big business: Many Trump voters believe that large corporations are taking advantage of Americans by raising prices on everyday items.
• Wall Street: Some see the stock market and financial institutions as contributing to the rising cost of living, through speculation and manipulation.
• Government policies (but not necessarily Trump's): A few respondents mentioned that government regulations or tax policies may be exacerbating economic difficulties.

"It's like they're speaking different languages," said Tom Johnson, a Trump supporter from Texas. "We know the president is trying to help us, but it seems like nobody's listening."

As prices continue to rise and wages stagnate, many Americans – regardless of their voting history – are calling for action from lawmakers and business leaders.
