Philly snow forecast: Measurable snowfall expected this weekend with bitter cold temps

The National Weather Service is predicting a mix of rain and snow showers on Friday night, with temperatures plummeting overnight. On Saturday, we can expect a wintry mix of precipitation, with snow flurries and light accumulation possible throughout the morning.

But it's not just the snow that you'll need to worry about - bitter cold temps are expected to move in behind the storm system, making for a chilly weekend. Overnight lows will dip into the mid-teens, while daytime highs will struggle to reach the mid-20s.

If you're planning on heading out and about this weekend, make sure to pack your warmest winter gear - including a good coat, hat, and gloves. And don't forget to keep an eye on road conditions, as freezing rain and black ice may become issues during the morning commute.
