Philadelphia weather: Measurable snow expected this weekend with bitter cold temps
Get ready for a winter wonderland, Philly! A blast of cold air is moving into the region, bringing with it measurable snowfall and frigid temperatures.According to forecasts, Saturday and Sunday will see scattered snow showers, with some areas potentially seeing up to 1 inch of accumulation. Meanwhile, wind chill values are expected to dip as low as -5°F (-21°C) on Saturday morning.
The cold front is being fueled by a low-pressure system moving east from the Midwest, bringing a mass of arctic air with it. This will be accompanied by gusty winds, making the feel even colder than the actual temperature.
If you're planning to venture out this weekend, make sure to bundle up! Wear layers, including a warm hat and gloves, to stay cozy in the face of bitter cold temps.
