Paris Record Shop Puts a Cat in Charge and the Instant Regret Is Too Real

We've seen some unusual business decisions in our time, but this one takes the cake. A Parisian record shop has put a cat in charge of their store, and it's been a wild ride so far.

Meet Monsieur Whiskers, the feline overlord who's been given complete control of the shop's operations. According to owners, the idea was to bring some much-needed "relaxation" to the workplace. But it seems they didn't quite consider the finer details.

• Monsieur Whiskers has a habit of knocking over display stands and scattering vinyl records everywhere.
• He's also developed a fondness for "reorganizing" the store by pawing through CDs and DVDs, often ripping their packaging open in the process.
• The cat has even been known to sneak into customers' bags and make off with their purchases.

"It's like he knows exactly what he's doing," said a flustered customer. "He's like a little thief, but instead of stealing money, he steals our music."

While some customers are enjoying the novelty of shopping in a cat-run record store, others aren't so amused.

Perhaps it's time for Monsieur Whiskers to go back to napping on someone else's lap. But until then, we'll just have to sit back and enjoy the show.
