Oklahoma Sheriff's Association partakes in raising traveling flag ahead of America's 250th birthday

As the United States prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, a special traveling flag is making its way across Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Sheriff's Association is proud to be a part of this patriotic effort, which aims to promote unity and patriotism among citizens.

The traveling flag, also known as the "Travelling Flag," is a unique and historic piece that has been designed specifically for this occasion. It features an 8x12 foot American flag that can be displayed at various locations throughout the state.

What's behind the traveling flag?

The idea of a traveling flag is to bring patriotism to the people, rather than just displaying it in one location. The Oklahoma Sheriff's Association is partnering with local businesses and community organizations to set up displays of the flag at various locations, including town squares, parks, and public buildings.

A symbol of unity

The traveling flag is more than just a piece of fabric - it's a symbol of American values such as freedom, justice, and unity. The Oklahoma Sheriff's Association hopes that by displaying the flag in different locations throughout the state, citizens will come together to celebrate their shared history and heritage.

Getting involved

If you'd like to see the traveling flag come to your town or community, there are several ways to get involved. Contact your local sheriff's office or civic organization to find out more about hosting a display of the flag in your area.
