NVIDIA is reportedly bringing back 2021's RTX 3060 GPU because AI is eating all of the newer cards

It seems like NVIDIA might be having some second thoughts about discontinuing their RTX 3060 GPU, which was announced in 2021. According to reports, the company is planning to bring back production due to an unexpected development: AI models are putting a huge strain on the newer graphics cards.

The reason for this sudden change of heart? It turns out that many AI researchers and developers are using NVIDIA's more powerful GPUs like the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090, which has led to a significant increase in demand. However, as it happens, these newer models just can't keep up with the compute requirements of some of the latest AI models.

This has left many wondering whether the demand for high-end GPUs is actually driven by gamers or rather by the increasing need for powerful computing in fields like AI research and development. One thing's certain: if you're looking to get into gaming or need a GPU for other compute-intensive tasks, it might be worth keeping an eye on NVIDIA's future product lineup.
