NVIDIA is reportedly bringing back 2021's RTX 3060 GPU because AI is eating all of the newer cards

It looks like NVIDIA is reviving an old favorite - at least, that's what it sounds like from the latest rumors. Reports are emerging that the company plans to re-release its popular 2021 GeForce RTX 3060 GPU.

The reason for this move isn't hard to guess: AI workloads are taking over, and NVIDIA's newer GPUs just can't keep up. According to insiders, the increased demand from gamers and professionals alike has left new card stocks depleted, with prices skyrocketing as a result.

This isn't the first time we've seen this happen - but it's still surprising to see how fast the market is changing. What was once state-of-the-art tech just a year ago now can't handle the growing demands of AI and machine learning workloads.

For those who need a more powerful GPU for their gaming or content creation needs, NVIDIA's decision might be welcome news - even if it does mean digging out that dusty old RTX 3060 from storage. Of course, there are also plenty of other options available on the market today - including some great deals on car stereos with built-in AI features.
