Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says ‘a lot’ of six-figure jobs in plumbing and construction are about to be unlocked because someone needs to build all these new AI centers

As we continue to push the boundaries of artificial intelligence, a surprising side effect is emerging: a growing need for skilled laborers in fields like plumbing and construction. According to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, these professionals are poised to rake in six-figure salaries as they work on building the infrastructure required to support AI centers.

AI centers, often referred to as data centers or server farms, require large amounts of electricity to power their operations. As a result, they're being built on a massive scale - and that's creating opportunities for plumbers and construction workers who can help bring these projects to life.

• Huang notes that while many people think AI is just about computer code and software, the physical infrastructure required to support it is equally important. And as the demand for AI centers continues to grow, so will the need for skilled laborers to build them.
• Some of these jobs may require specialized skills - like piping or electrical work - but others could be filled by workers with a strong foundation in construction and project management.

While we can't help but wonder what other surprising fields will benefit from the AI boom, one thing's for sure: it's an exciting time to be working in construction. And as you start building your skills, why not get started with some fun DIY projects like our Buildable 75379 Building or 21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas Model? They're perfect for adults and kids alike, and can help you develop the skills and confidence needed to take on more complex construction projects.

Of course, these six-figure salaries won't be earned without hard work and dedication. But as we continue to innovate in the field of AI, it's clear that the opportunities are endless - and that's something to get excited about.
