Nissan Rogue drivers launch lawsuit over car's alleged spontaneously shattering rear windows
Reports have surfaced of a group of Nissan Rogue owners taking legal action against the automaker due to an unusual issue with their vehicles' rear windows.
According to court documents, several Rogue drivers claim that their cars' rear glass panels are suddenly and inexplicably shattering, leaving them vulnerable to damage from road debris or other external factors. The plaintiffs reportedly argue that this defect has resulted in significant financial losses for them, including the cost of repairs and replacement vehicles.
The allegations have sparked an investigation by safety regulators, who are working to determine the cause of the issue and whether it affects other Nissan models. While the manufacturer has not commented on the specific claims, owners of affected vehicles may be eligible for compensation or a free repair program.
What Rogue owners need to know
- The lawsuit specifically targets the 2014-2021 model years of the Nissan Rogue.
- Complaints have mentioned instances where rear windows shattered without warning, often during normal driving conditions.
- Nissan has not yet issued a recall or official statement addressing the issue.
If you're a Rogue owner concerned about this potential issue, consider speaking with your dealership or contacting Nissan's customer service department directly. In the meantime, some owners have opted for aftermarket solutions to upgrade their vehicle's infotainment system and potentially address related issues.
