Nightmare for Oakland Couple Whose Home Overrun by Strangers

In a bizarre incident that's left many stunned, an Oakland couple woke up to find their home overrun by strangers who seemed to have simply wandered in off the street.

According to reports, the family was awoken around 5am on Tuesday morning by the sound of people moving about inside their home. Upon investigation, they discovered that a group of at least 10 individuals had somehow gained entry into their residence and were making themselves comfortable - even helping themselves to food from the fridge.

The couple, who wish to remain anonymous, described the scene as "surreal" and said they felt a sense of vulnerability after being taken advantage of in this way. They claimed that the strangers seemed friendly but made no effort to explain how they had entered their home or why they were there.

Police were called to the scene and were able to safely remove the individuals, but not before some had reportedly helped themselves to items from the couple's property.
