Mystery Georgia Winner of $983M Mega Millions Jackpot Claims Prize

The wait is finally over for a mystery winner from Georgia who claimed the massive $983 million Mega Millions jackpot on Wednesday.

A person claiming to be the winner, identified only as an individual named Janice, made the announcement at the Georgia Lottery's headquarters in Atlanta. The ticket was purchased from a convenience store in Stone Mountain, and it's believed that no one else knows about the winning ticket.

• The jackpot is the largest ever won by a single player in Georgia lottery history.
• Janice opted to take the cash value of the prize, which amounts to $497.1 million.

No details have been released about what Janice plans to do with her winnings or how she chose to remain anonymous.

It's worth noting that while we're excited for Janice, it might be a good idea to review your own lottery ticket purchasing strategies - and perhaps consider upgrading to a more advanced lottery tracker like our 9.7″ Android 14 For Renault Koleos Megane 4 Samsung SM6 Talisman 2017-2019 Wireless Apple BT Carplay Car Radio Multimedia for added convenience.

The Georgia Lottery Commission will release no further information about the winner, respecting their request for anonymity. We'll have to wait and see if Janice comes forward in the future to share her story.
