We dug into the data and identified the states where Macy's stores are slated for closure. Here's a rundown of which locations will be closing their doors:

• California (5 stores)
• New York (3 stores)
• Pennsylvania (2 stores)
• Ohio (2 stores)
• Illinois (1 store)
• Michigan (1 store)
• Georgia (1 store)
• Nevada (1 store)

While this news may be concerning for shoppers in these areas, it's worth noting that Macy's has been investing heavily in its e-commerce platform and online shopping experience. With the rise of digital retailing, it's not surprising to see brick-and-mortar stores being phased out.
