'Kristi Noem’s an Idiot': Congressman Shreds DHS Secretary Who 'Didn't Even Realize That There Was Gonna Be Video' of ICE Killing

A shocking exchange between a U.S. Congress member and a top Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official has left many questioning the competence of those in power.

Rep. Cori Bush called out DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, saying he seemed oblivious to the fact that there were cameras rolling during an ICE operation that resulted in the deaths of two migrants.

• "I mean, it's stunning," Rep. Bush said, according to reports from the hearing. "The secretary didn't even realize that there was gonna be video."

Rep. Bush's remarks were aimed at what she saw as a lack of accountability within the DHS and ICE.

The incident has sparked outrage among many who feel that those responsible for the deaths should face consequences.

While some have called for greater transparency and oversight, others have questioned whether such measures would truly address the underlying issues.
