Kristi Noem’s an Idiot’: Congressman Shreds DHS Secretary Who ‘Didn’t Even Realize That There Was Gonna Be Video’ of ICE Killing

Controversy erupted yesterday as a heated exchange between lawmakers took center stage on Capitol Hill. The verbal sparring match was sparked when Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) called out Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem over her handling of an incident involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

The issue at hand involves footage of ICE officers violently subduing a migrant, which was captured on camera by bystanders. In his remarks, Rep. Pocan accused Sec. Noem of being "in the dark" about the existence of the video, calling her a "moron" and stating that she "didn't even realize there was going to be video."

Sec. Noem responded by claiming she had not been made aware of the footage prior to Rep. Pocan's public comments. The exchange has left many questioning the department's handling of sensitive information and the trust between lawmakers.

Reaction from Lawmakers

• Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI): "It's outrageous that you didn't even realize there was going to be video. That's like saying 'we're not aware of what's on the camera'."
• Sec. Kristi Noem: "I had not been made aware of this specific footage prior to Rep. Pocan's comments."

The incident has left many in the Capitol Hill community scratching their heads, wondering how such a glaring oversight could occur.
