Justice Department Says Jack Smith Report on Trump Investigation 'Belongs in Dustbin of History'

The Justice Department has weighed in on a recent report from Special Counsel Jack Smith, saying it's essentially worthless when it comes to the investigation into former President Donald Trump.

In a statement, the department said that the report, which was widely expected to shed new light on the investigation, "belongs in the dustbin of history." This is a clear indication that the report did not meet the department's expectations and will likely have little impact on the ongoing investigation.

While some may be disappointed by this development, it's worth noting that the investigation into Trump is still ongoing. The former President remains under scrutiny for his role in the January 6th insurrection and other alleged wrongdoings.

As we continue to follow this story, one thing is clear: the investigation will not be going away anytime soon.

What's Next?

• The Justice Department has not commented on what specific issues or findings it had with the report.
• It's unclear whether Smith will release a revised version of the report in response to the department's criticism.

In any case, one thing is certain: the investigation into Trump will continue to make headlines as new information comes to light.
