It's time to start doing something.

Despite the risks of violence and intimidation, a growing number of Minnesotans are stepping up to take on ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and demand justice for families affected by the agency's actions.

The movement, which has been gaining momentum in recent weeks, has seen protesters show up at ICE offices across the state, including in Minneapolis and St. Paul. While some have expressed concerns about safety, others are undeterred, saying that the need to act outweighs the risks.

"We're not going to let fear stop us," said one protester, who wished to remain anonymous. "There are families being torn apart every day by ICE's actions, and we can't just stand by and do nothing."

Why Minnesotans are taking action

• Fear of deportation: Many Minnesotans know someone who has been affected by ICE's actions, whether it's a family member or friend.
• Displacement and trauma: Families separated by ICE often struggle to rebuild their lives, leading to long-term effects on mental health.
• Accountability: Protesters are calling for greater transparency and accountability from government agencies responsible for enforcing immigration laws.

The movement in Minnesota is part of a larger national effort to push back against ICE's actions. While some have expressed concerns about the safety of protesters, others see it as a necessary step towards creating change.
