It Was That Moment That I Realized We Had An Idiot In The Presidency:

The past few years have been a wild ride for many Americans. As the presidency of Donald Trump came to an end, some former supporters are now speaking out about their "aha" moments when things finally clicked.

We spoke with several individuals who were once ardent fans of President Trump but have since changed their minds. They shared with us the specific incidents or statements that made them realize he wasn't as they thought he was.

• Meghan, a 35-year-old mother of two from Ohio, remembered it being during a press conference where President Trump claimed that windmills cause cancer. "I mean, I'd heard some outlandish things before, but this was different," she said. "That's when I started questioning everything he said."
• John, a 42-year-old businessman from Florida, recalled the time President Trump praised dictators and authoritarian leaders. "It hit me like a ton of bricks – we were electing someone who didn't value democracy or human rights," he explained.
• Jessica, a 29-year-old teacher from California, remembered it being during the COVID-19 pandemic when President Trump downplayed the severity of the virus and contradicted scientific experts. "That's when I realized we had an idiot in the presidency – someone who didn't care about facts or science," she said.

These are just a few examples, but they illustrate the different moments that made these individuals realize their support for President Trump was misplaced. As our country continues to navigate complex issues and policies, it's essential to have honest conversations and learn from each other's experiences.
