‘It was like a movie:’ Seattle man recounts viral moment of suspect carjacking WSP trooper

A shocking video has been making waves online after a suspect attempted to steal a Washington State Patrol (WSP) officer's vehicle while it was parked outside the officer's home. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, has left many in the Seattle community stunned and concerned for public safety.

According to eyewitnesses, including one neighbor who wishes to remain anonymous, the suspect approached the WSP trooper's car as if trying to hail a ride. When the trooper refused, the suspect allegedly attempted to force their way into the vehicle before fleeing the scene on foot.

The whole ordeal was caught on camera by a nearby resident and has since been shared widely online, with many commenters calling it "like something out of a movie." The video shows the suspect attempting to break the window of the trooper's car before eventually running away from the scene.
