Intel launches next-gen PC chip at CES in Las Vegas
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas has just wrapped up, and one of the biggest announcements to come out of it is Intel's launch of its next-generation PC chip. The new processor promises to bring significant performance boosts and power efficiency improvements to PCs.
At a press conference on Tuesday, Intel unveiled the 13th Gen Core series, which will be available in various configurations for desktops and laptops. According to Intel, the new chips offer up to 15% better single-threaded performance and up to 30% better multi-threaded performance compared to its predecessors.
One of the key features of the new chip is its ability to handle high-power applications with ease. This makes it an ideal choice for gamers, content creators, and professionals who require a lot of processing power.
Intel also announced that the new chips will support DDR5 memory, which offers faster speeds and higher capacities than the previous generation. Additionally, the company has improved its integrated graphics capabilities, making them suitable for more demanding tasks like 4K video editing.
While we didn't get to see any demos or hands-on experience with the new chip, it's clear that Intel is pushing the boundaries of what's possible in PC performance. As always, the tech giant is aiming to stay ahead of the competition and drive innovation in the industry.
