Husband Saw Wife's Torso in Alligator's Mouth. She Was 'Momentarily' Released Before Animal Attacked Again and Swam Away

A harrowing incident in Florida has left a family shaken, after a husband witnessed an alligator attack his wife while they were walking along the water's edge. The woman was eventually pulled from the jaws of the predator, but not before it had her in its grasp for several terrifying moments.

According to eyewitness accounts, the couple had been strolling through a lake at their vacation home when the alligator emerged from the depths and snatched the wife's torso. Her husband reportedly watched in horror as the animal dragged his wife underwater, but was then 'momentarily' released, giving him a brief window of opportunity to intervene.

Unfortunately, that respite proved short-lived, and the alligator attacked again, swimming away with its victim. The incident highlights the importance of being aware of one's surroundings when in areas known to be inhabited by wildlife.
