How much snow is expected on Sunday? Here's what the models show so far

With winter finally settling in across the country, many of us are eager to know when we'll see our first flakes of the season. Fortunately, weather forecasters have been working overtime to bring us up-to-date predictions.

We took a closer look at some of the latest models to determine just how much snow we can expect on Sunday. Keep in mind that these forecasts are subject to change and should be taken as rough estimates rather than hard predictions.

Current Forecasts by Region

• East Coast: Expect a light dusting of up to 2 inches (5 cm) in the Northeast, with the heaviest snowfall in New York City. The Mid-Atlantic will see more scattered flurries, with totals ranging from 1-4 inches (2.5-10 cm).
• South: A winter wonderland is expected to blanket parts of the South, with totals reaching up to 6 inches (15 cm) in some areas. Cities like Nashville and Atlanta are likely to see significant accumulation.
• West Coast: California will continue its dry spell, but a weak system could bring some light snowfall to the mountains. Residents in Arizona and New Mexico can expect flurries, but totals will be minimal.

While these forecasts are promising, it's essential to note that weather conditions can change quickly. We recommend checking back with your local forecasters for the most up-to-date information on snowfall predictions.
