Home Depot Copies Walmart with Decision Consumers Won't Like

It looks like Home Depot is following in Walmart's footsteps, making a change that might not sit well with some of its loyal customers.

According to recent reports, the big-box home improvement store has started removing one key product from its shelves - mulch. Yes, you read that right, mulch! This decision comes after Walmart made a similar move earlier this year, citing "high costs" and "low demand." But is it really about cost and demand?

We all know how much Americans love to garden and take care of their outdoor spaces. Mulch is an essential part of that process, providing weed control, moisture retention, and even improving soil health.

So why the sudden change? It's possible that Home Depot and Walmart are trying to shift consumer attention towards other products or services, like landscaping or gardening tools. But what about the customers who rely on mulch for their daily needs?

This decision has left many in the gardening community feeling frustrated and concerned. Will they have to look elsewhere for a reliable source of mulch? And what does this say about the future of home improvement retailing?
