Home Depot Copies Walmart with Decision Consumers Won't Like

It looks like big-box stores are getting creative – or perhaps a little too clever for their own good. Home Depot has just announced that they'll be implementing a new policy that's got some customers feeling, well, a bit thorny.

As of now, Home Depot will no longer be offering price matching on identical items from online retailers. Yep, you read that right – if Walmart is selling the same product for cheaper online, don't expect to get it at the lower price in-store (or vice versa).

• This change affects a wide range of products, from home decor and gardening tools to building materials and appliances.
• Home Depot claims that this move will help them better compete with online retailers like Amazon, by allowing customers to shop in their stores for prices that match what they'd find online (minus the price matching).

The news has left some customers scratching their heads – and wondering if they'll need to start shopping elsewhere. "It's just another way for Home Depot to nickel-and-dime us," says one frustrated customer.

We're curious to hear from you: will this new policy change the way you shop at Home Depot? Let us know in the comments!
