Hilton Drops Minneapolis Hotel Over Cancelled ICE Bookings

Hotels are often at the center of controversy, but a recent decision by Hilton to drop its Minneapolis hotel has left many scratching their heads.

The news broke earlier this week that Hilton had cancelled all Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) bookings at its Downtown East hotel. While the company didn't explicitly state why they made this decision, it's clear that public pressure played a significant role.

Hilton's move comes as part of a larger wave of companies speaking out against ICE and its practices. Earlier this year, several major airlines announced that they would no longer provide discounted fares to ICE agents, citing their own values and concerns about human rights.

But what exactly does this mean for the Minneapolis hotel, and how will it affect future bookings? While Hilton hasn't officially confirmed any plans to reopen the property as a dedicated ICE facility, it's clear that the decision has sparked a significant backlash against the brand.

We'd love to hear from you - what do you think about Hilton's decision, and do you believe more companies should follow suit in speaking out against ICE?
