Frustrated customer calls out Target after discovering sneaky tactic at local store: 'These companies assume consumers are stupid'
A recent incident at a Target store has left one customer feeling frustrated and fed up with what they perceive as deceptive business practices.
According to the customer, who shared their experience on social media, they noticed that some products had been restocked with new prices, but the old price stickers remained on the packaging. This meant that customers were being shown an inflated price, even though the store was selling the product at the lower new price.
The customer, who wishes to remain anonymous, expressed their outrage online, stating: "These companies assume consumers are stupid. They think we won't notice... It's unacceptable."
This isn't the first time Target has faced criticism over its pricing practices. In 2019, the company was accused of using a similar tactic in one of its stores.
For customers who value transparency and honesty from their retailers, it may be worth considering shopping at smaller, independent businesses that prioritize fair pricing and open communication.
Stay informed and vigilant!
- Always check the price before making a purchase
- Look for any signs of restocked products with new prices
- Consider shopping at smaller, independent retailers that prioritize transparency
