Frustrated customer calls out Target after discovering sneaky tactic at local store: 'These companies assume consumers are stupid'

A recent incident has left a frustrated customer feeling duped by one of America's largest retailers. The shopper, who wishes to remain anonymous, visited their local Target store in search of some everyday essentials. What they found instead was a sneaky tactic that has left many wondering if the company is prioritizing profits over customers.

According to the customer, Target employees were secretly removing price labels from certain items and replacing them with stickers bearing significantly higher prices. This allowed the store to charge customers up to 30% more than the original sticker price without anyone noticing.

The customer spoke out against the practice, saying: "These companies assume consumers are stupid. They think they can get away with it because people won't bother to check the prices or will just assume the sticker is correct."

This isn't an isolated incident. Similar reports have surfaced in recent months, raising concerns about price gouging and deceptive marketing practices in the retail industry.

So, what can you do to avoid falling victim to these sneaky tactics? Here are a few tips:

• Always check prices carefully: Don't assume the sticker price is correct. Take a moment to verify the price with an employee or use a price-checking app.
• Shop around**: Compare prices across different stores and online retailers to ensure you're getting the best deal.
• Be aware of your surroundings**: Keep an eye out for suspicious stickers or labeling that may indicate a higher price than usual.
