First-time Tesla owner shares what shocked him the most after owning the car for a year: 'The more I drive this car…'

We've all heard the hype surrounding electric vehicles, but what's it like to own one for real? We spoke with a first-time Tesla owner who shared his experiences of driving his Model 3 for an entire year.

"The biggest surprise was how little maintenance I needed," he said. "I mean, sure, you still need to change the tires and stuff, but the electric motor is so much smoother than my old gas-guzzler." He also mentioned that the car's regenerative braking system has saved him money on brake pads.

Another unexpected perk was the car's incredible acceleration. "I mean, it goes from 0-60 in like two seconds," he joked. "My friends are all impressed when we take off from a stoplight."

The owner also praised the car's massive touchscreen display and user-friendly interface. "It's so easy to navigate and get where I need to go," he said.
