First-time Tesla owner shares what shocked him the most after owning the car for a year: 'The more I drive this car…'

We recently spoke with John, a first-time Tesla owner who's been behind the wheel of his Model 3 for over a year now. As he shared his experiences, one thing became clear - there were a few surprises in store for him.

• Surprise #1: Autopilot is more than just a gimmick

John was blown away by the capabilities of Tesla's Autopilot system. "I thought it would be useful for cruising on the highway, but it's actually been a game-changer for daily commutes," he explained.

"I was surprised at how quiet the car is, especially considering its size and performance," John noted. He mentioned that his old gas-guzzler would always make a racket on the highway, but the Tesla runs so smoothly and quietly.

"I didn't realize how frequently Tesla pushes out software updates to improve performance, add new features, or even address issues that users have reported," John said. This feature has been a pleasant surprise for him.

• Surprise #4: How customizable it is

John mentioned that he loves being able to customize his driving experience with Tesla's settings and preferences. From the way the car accelerates to how the seats are adjusted, John feels like he has complete control over his vehicle.
