Costco Shoplifting Couple Caught Red-Handed

Sacramento deputies have arrested a couple accused of shoplifting multiple bottles of liquor from a Costco store in California. According to reports, the duo made off with several cases of premium spirits before being caught by security cameras.

Shoplifting may seem like an unlikely crime to be committed at a warehouse club, but these thieves clearly had a taste for the finer things in life - and a plan to get them for cheap.

• Security footage shows the couple carefully loading multiple bottles of liquor into their shopping cart without attempting to pay for them
• The duo then allegedly made their way to the store's exit, where they were stopped by security personnel
• The couple was subsequently arrested and charged with shoplifting

While this news story may not have anything directly to do with home decor or baby care (although we can think of a few ways to safely display liquor bottles in the home...), it does bring up an important question: what's the best way to prevent shoplifting at your local stores?

Some retailers are now using innovative solutions, such as LED lights and motion sensors, to deter thieves. And for those who want to take matters into their own hands, there are even bottle washers that can help sanitize and dry bottles - a perfect solution for parents on-the-go!

We're not sure what the couple was thinking when they attempted to steal from Costco, but one thing's for certain: shoplifting is never worth it.
