Costco Shoplifting Couple Caught Red-Handed

A Sacramento couple thought they could get away with a boozy heist from their local Costco, but deputies had other plans.

According to reports, the duo attempted to stash multiple bottles of liquor in their cart without paying for them. Deputies were quick to catch on and made an arrest at the scene.

We've all been there - caught up in a shopping spree and forgetting to check out one or two (okay, three) items. But this couple's mistake was more costly than they bargained for.

Shoplifting may seem like a minor offense, but it can have serious consequences for those involved. Not only do retailers suffer losses, but the perpetrators themselves can face fines and even jail time.
