Shopper Shocker: Sacramento Couple Caught Stealing Costco Liquor

In a bizarre case of retail theft, a Sacramento couple was arrested last week after allegedly stashing multiple bottles of liquor at a local Costco warehouse.

According to authorities, the couple was caught red-handed by security cameras, which captured footage of them loading cases of wine and other spirits into their vehicle without paying. Deputies say the pair attempted to conceal their crime by hiding the stolen merchandise in their car's trunk.

The Details

• At least 12 bottles of liquor were recovered from the couple's vehicle, valued at over $1,000.
• The suspects, both adults, were arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of felony grand theft.
• Costco security personnel are being praised for their diligence in catching the would-be thieves.
