Consumer Reports Is Warning Car Buyers To Think Long And Hard Before Shopping These Automakers

Are you in the market for a new car? If so, be sure to do your research before making that big purchase. According to Consumer Reports, some automakers are worth taking a closer look at - but not necessarily for the right reasons.

The non-profit organization has released a list of the worst-performing automakers in various categories, including reliability, fuel efficiency, and safety features. And let's just say it's not exactly a who's who of top performers.

Who Made The Cut?

• Jaguar: With poor reliability ratings and underwhelming fuel economy, this luxury brand is definitely one to approach with caution.
• Nissan: From faulty brakes to malfunctioning infotainment systems, Nissan's got a lot of work to do in the quality department.
• Jeep: With subpar fuel efficiency and inconsistent performance across models, Jeep owners may find themselves at the pump more often than they'd like.

Now, before you start writing off these brands entirely, it's worth noting that there are some standouts within each brand. But overall, Consumer Reports says buyers should be wary of the potential pitfalls when shopping for a car from one of these manufacturers.
