CEO of $90 Billion Waste Management Shares Unconventional Leadership Style

In a refreshing departure from the usual corporate jargon, Jim Fish, CEO of waste management giant Waste Management, is making waves with his unorthodox leadership approach.

A recent interview revealed that Fish has been known to roll up his sleeves and get hands-on, literally. He's taken to hauling trash alongside his employees during regular safety briefings – which often go until 1 a.m. – to ensure everyone on the team feels connected to the company's mission.

"It's not always just dollars and cents," Fish emphasized, highlighting the importance of employee well-being and engagement in driving success. His unique approach has earned him praise from colleagues and industry observers alike, who see it as a testament to his commitment to leadership by example.

For leaders looking to shake up their own management styles, Fish's willingness to get involved at ground level could be a valuable lesson. Whether you're running a small startup or a massive corporation like Waste Management, prioritizing your team's safety and happiness can have a direct impact on productivity and profits.
