BBQ Chain Closes Half Its Restaurants, Files Chapter 11

Culinary fans are reeling after popular BBQ chain, BBQ Daddy's, announced that it will be closing over half of its restaurants and filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The move comes as a shock to the company's loyal customer base, who have come to rely on their signature slow-cooked meats and casual dining atmosphere. BBQ Daddy's was founded in 2005 with a single location in Texas and quickly expanded to over 100 locations across the country.

• The decision to close so many restaurants is likely due to increased competition from other fast-casual chains, rising food costs, and changing consumer preferences.
• BBQ Daddy's had been struggling financially for some time, with declining sales and increasing debt.

While the Chapter 11 filing will allow the company to restructure its debts and potentially emerge from bankruptcy, it's unclear what this means for employees and customers in the short term. We'll be keeping a close eye on developments as they unfold.
