Amazon delivers more bad news for workers before earnings

It's not been a great week for Amazon employees, who are facing a new round of challenges ahead of the company's upcoming earnings report. The latest issue to emerge is a decision to reduce employee benefits, which has sparked outrage among workers and their unions.

As we've reported before, Amazon has faced criticism over its treatment of warehouse workers in recent years. Now, it seems that the company is preparing to cut back on other perks too - including bonuses and discounts on products sold by the e-commerce giant.

The move comes at a time when Amazon's profits are soaring, thanks in part to the success of its online shopping platform during the pandemic. But for workers, who have been working tirelessly to keep up with demand, it's not just about the company's bottom line - it's about fairness and respect.

What does this mean for employees?

• Reduced bonuses: Amazon has announced plans to cut back on employee bonuses, which are currently worth around $1,000 per year.
• No more discounts: Warehouse workers will no longer be eligible for discounts on products sold by the company.
• Uncertainty ahead: With earnings season just around the corner, Amazon's employees are bracing themselves for even more changes - and potential cost-cutting measures.

We've been hearing from readers who work at Amazon warehouses, and their stories are heartbreaking. That's why we want to shine a light on this important issue - and remind our readers that there are better ways to treat employees than just cutting costs.
