Abandoned Southern California Mall Overrun by Vandals

A once-thriving mall in Southern California has been plagued by vandalism since October, with authorities reporting an astonishing 402 police calls to the abandoned site.

The vacant building, located in the city of Ontario, was previously a bustling shopping center but has since fallen into disrepair. Despite efforts from local authorities and cleanup crews, the site remains a hotbed of activity for vandals, who have been causing thousands of dollars in damages each month.

"It's not just about the property damage," said Sheriff's Department spokesperson, Jane Doe. "These incidents are also putting people at risk. We urge anyone with information to come forward and help us bring an end to this senseless destruction."

What's Happening at the Mall?

According to local reports, the mall has been abandoned for several years after struggling to stay afloat in a changing retail landscape. Despite attempts by developers to revamp the site, it remains largely untouched.

While some may view the vandalism as a form of 'urban exploration' or thrill-seeking, authorities are quick to emphasize that these actions have real-world consequences and can put people's safety at risk.

Community Response

• Local residents have taken to social media to express their frustration with the situation and call for greater action from authorities.
• A petition has been started to advocate for increased security measures and cleanup efforts at the site.
• The community is also coming together to organize clean-up events and raise awareness about the issue.
