Abandoned Southern California Mall Overrun by Vandals

The once-thriving Golden Steer Mall in Hesperia, California has been overrun by vandals since its closure last fall.

• The mall's police call log reveals a staggering 402 incidents of vandalism and property damage since October.
• According to the data, an average of nearly four incidents occurred every day between November 1st and December 31st.

Mall owner, Mark Ward, expressed frustration with the situation, stating that "the city has been aware of these issues for months, but nothing seems to be done to prevent them."

Security Concerns and Potential Solutions

• The Golden Steer Mall's abandoned state raises concerns about public safety and potential loitering.
• Possible solutions include increased surveillance or private security patrols, but these measures would require significant investment from the owner or local authorities.

As the situation continues to unfold, one thing is clear: something needs to be done to restore order and safety to this abandoned Southern California mall.

Mall Revival?

• The property's potential for redevelopment remains uncertain, but some speculate that a revitalized Golden Steer Mall could become a vibrant hub for local businesses and community events.

For now, the mall remains an eyesore in the heart of Hesperia, serving as a reminder of what can happen when neglect and vandalism go unchecked.
