A Georgia woman suffers severe burns in a chemical attack at a Savannah park
Yesterday evening, emergency responders rushed to Savannah's Forsyth Park after reports of a chemical attack. A 35-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, was found severely burned and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 8pm when the woman approached a park bench near the park's famous fountain. Witnesses reported hearing a loud noise and seeing the woman screaming in agony as she stumbled away from the bench. Paramedics arrived quickly and administered first aid before transporting her to the hospital.
The Savannah Police Department has launched an investigation into the incident, but so far, no suspects have been identified. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the attack to come forward.
