• TCL 40S325: While TCL is generally known for its affordable TVs, the 40S325 falls short in terms of brightness and color accuracy. It's not the worst option on this list, but it's definitely not the best.
• Vizio D40-D1: This Vizio TV has been praised by some for its budget-friendly price tag, but Consumer Reports gives it a mediocre rating due to its limited app selection and lackluster sound quality.
• Element ELSTAR55SD: As one of the cheapest options on this list, Element's ELSTAR55SD struggles with poor picture quality and an underwhelming smart TV experience.
• Westinghouse WE40H420S: This Westinghouse TV has earned a reputation for being one of the worst budget TVs on the market. It's not worth the savings, according to Consumer Reports.
• Sceptre U50CV-UMR: Rounding out our list is Sceptre's U50CV-UMR, which falls short in terms of brightness and color accuracy – a big deal for any TV buyer.
