2 Top Dividend Stocks I'd Own Over the Next Decade

When it comes to building a long-term investment portfolio, dividend stocks are often at the top of many investors' wish lists. And for good reason – they offer a relatively stable source of income and can provide a hedge against market volatility.

Here are two top dividend stocks that I'd consider owning over the next decade:

1. Johnson & Johnson (JNJ)

• Market capitalization: Over $1 trillion
• Dividend yield: 2.7%
• Stable earnings growth: JNJ has increased its dividend payout for 59 consecutive years!

J&J is one of the largest and most diversified healthcare companies in the world, with a portfolio that includes pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumer products. Its stable earnings growth and long history of paying out consistent dividends make it an attractive option for income investors.

2. Procter & Gamble (PG)

• Market capitalization: Over $300 billion
• Dividend yield: 2.4%
• Diversified portfolio: PG owns iconic brands like Tide, Pampers, and Gillette.

P&G is another household name with a long history of delivering consistent earnings growth and dividend payments. Its diversified portfolio of consumer goods businesses provides a stable foundation for investors seeking income.

Of course, no investment is without risk. But for income-focused investors looking to build a long-term portfolio, these two stocks are definitely worth considering – especially if you're already familiar with their iconic brands!
